I'll get right to the point...
"The more I tried to finish this one, the closer I got to an unrecoverable failure, so I just stopped."
Oh, and before I forget, keep in mind that I never mentioned anything about any of this "stuff" being any good.

UNTITLED - May 7, 2013 - Acrylic on Canvas
Acrylic on canvas plus some new colors I'm trying out. Somewhat of an industrial looking number I suppose. Same formula, though. Start, work, and press finish once it bears enough believability to warrant being referred to as "finished".
Next up is a version of a recently failed piece. Failure is rare, yes, as I can usually deny a mistake well enough to make it look like a real artistic endeavor in the end. At least that's the lie I've told myself. Yes, a lie, to which I'm sticking. Now, for the moment of truth (if you can handle it): Me + paints, brushes, and canvas + art = delusional. Enjoy... or not.

UNTITLED - January 5, 2013 - Acrylic on Canvas
If you guessed "Paint something new already!!!" was one of my resolutions for 2013 then you've just won an IOU for a prize which is scheduled to be awarded to you sometime between now and the end of western civilization.
Yep, another acrylic on canvas. I swore I was going to figure out a way to give something in the proximity of grey a more distressed look. Since I drink a lot of that Keyfood brand seltzer I got the quasi-novel idea to rough out the midsection of the bottle and rough out the paint. The fact that the paint is "pewter" didn't make the task terribly difficult either.

UNTITLED - August 18, 2010 - Oil on Canvas
As I might've stated elsewhere, "Another Idea-less abstract that just happened to work out".
One of these days I swear I'm going to learn how to paint curved lines and get ideas about curved lines and dream about closed curves. One of these days I hope I learn how to paint--- or at least learn how to stare into a corner of my apartment and paint that.

UNTITLED - November 28, 2008 - Acrylic and Oil on Canvas
I had this one as a to-do given the four (4) day weekend. Pewter, metallic copper, and raw umber were the most heavily used here. The panel of thirds just seemed appropriate. Black/cement grey/raw umber were used as both filler and a means for obscuring some unwanted strokes created at the very start of this endeavor.
